No two productions are quite the same, so LUMI has never been designed around a single way of working.
The studio offers a combination of clean, controlled shooting areas and more textural environments, allowing multiple looks to be created within the one location.
At the heart of the studio is our 6.5m x 5.5m cyclorama, complemented by a black cyclorama, white brick, concrete and grey surfaces, and our new customisable feature wall designed for temporary sets, backgrounds and surface treatments.
An abundance of natural light provides beautiful ambient shooting conditions throughout the day, while full-length blackout blinds can reduce available light by approximately 90% when greater control is required.
Professional lighting and grip equipment is available on site, alongside dedicated hair and makeup facilities, clothing racks, steamer, kitchen facilities and the practical equipment you expect to find in a working production studio.
From a simple portrait session through to a multi-day advertising production, LUMI can be configured around the project rather than the other way around.

Two studios. One location.
LUMI sits directly alongside fabrik, our 242sqm warehouse and production space.
While LUMI offers a more refined, fully equipped studio environment, fabrik provides scale, texture and a large open-plan footprint suited to bigger builds and productions.
The studios can be hired independently or used together, giving larger productions the ability to create multiple sets, separate stills and motion, accommodate additional crew and equipment, or spread a project across several days without changing location.
Together, they offer more than 400sqm of creative space in Melbourne's eastern suburbs.
